A nymph whose life is inseparably bound to a single tree. She blesses those who protect the tree, but any harm to it wounds her directly — and the tree’s destruction ends her existence.

Hamadryads are living embodiments of their trees, appearing as beautiful but fragile figures with bark-skin or leafy hair. They may guide, seduce, or befriend mortals, but their loyalty is always to the survival of their tree. Their protection can be fierce, but their weakness is absolute: harm the tree, and the hamadryad suffers with it.

• Appears in alluring or sympathetic form, gaining Entranced-2.

• Lash out with root or branch; inflict Wounded-2.
• Bind an intruder with roots or vines; apply Restrained-3.
• Curse one who harms the tree; inflict Blighted-3.

• Bound Life: Damage to the tree directly causes Wounded-2 to the hamadryad. Destroying the tree kills her.
• Blessing of the Tree: Acts of reverence grant Protected-2 or create the Tree’s Favor story tag.
• Vengeful Guardian: When her tree is threatened, the hamadryad gains Empowered-2.

• Escalation: Gentle warnings and entrancing allure → foreboding signs → violent defense → mutual death if tree falls.
• Tactics: Prefers seduction and guidance initially; curses and attacks escalate only when tree is threatened.
• Counters: Protecting or honoring the tree ensures loyalty. Destroying or burning the tree ends her life, possibly releasing curses.

• Look: Woman with bark-like skin, leafy hair, and eyes like tree rings.
• Tell: Rustling in still air, blossoms wilting without cause, whispers through branches resembling human voice.
