It Was Cold and Wet… and Glorious!
This time, we’d scheduled the shoot weeks prior. But it had been raining all night and it was cold. I didn’t want do it. I didn’t want to get into the lake. I knew that the rain would provide a fantastic dappling effect, and I liked working with this model. But… oh, it was going to be ugly, and wet, and cold. I was going to be miserable. Chances are, I’d go home and sleep through the rest of the day.
I left it too late to cancel anything–because I really wanted to shoot with her. She’s fun. And she’d spent a bunch of time doing the makeup for this. So, I picked her up and we discussed maybe shooting somewhere else and not going into the water. But by the time we got up the Malahat drive, there were spots of sun… She mad more faith than I did.
